‘Kala Indradhanush’ an event exhibiting the innate talent of the students was organized on 8th February 2025. The event embellished with the showcase of various hobby presentation by the students throughout the day.
Principal, Mrs. Moushumi Das inaugurated the programme and lit the ceremonial lamp with the school leadership team. 21 hobby club students exhibited their talent in Taekwondo, Volleyball, Football, Chess, Eco & Science Club,, Drawing & Painting, Reader’s Club etc. The Dance Drama with Music group presented ‘Krishna Ka Baal Leela’. The proud parents of the participating students enjoyed the programme. The event concluded with the school song.

27th Annual Sports Day 2024-25 : 31-JAN-2025
Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium Sports Complex was filled with great zeal and excitement frolicsome atmosphere on Friday, 31st January 2025 as S.D.S.M. School for Excellence celebrated its 27th Annual Sports Day at Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium, Telco. Students from the school enthusiastically participated in the Sports day event. The participants were really excited about the event.
The event started with the march-past by the Six families, the school flag was unfurled and the meet was declared open by the Chairman, SDSM School for Excellence, Mr. Diwakar Singh by lighting of the flame and releasing of mascot, accompanied by Principal, Mrs. Moushumi Das to mark the expression of joy and rejoicement. The Chairman in his speech welcomed the parents and students and emphasized the importance of sports is a way of life as it brings discipline in life. he said that Sports Day is a combination of all the events throughout the year. The basic essence of a sportsman is to come together with a bonding of oneself in a team. The students of STD Vl and Vll displayed the Aerobic Yoga. The program was followed by many sporting events like flat races and 4 x 100 m relay, Lets enjoy marketing, Race to bring the cone etc. The students were excited and it was quite a joy to see how genuine and eager they were to compete and cheer the different families named as Mountain, Fire, Sun, Moon, Tree and Cloud. The students showcased their multifaceted talents. It was a mega event and it culminated by the award ceremony where students were awarded trophies and medals.
At the end of the Annual Sports Day Principal, Mrs. Moushumi Das gave away the trophies in the categories – Best Athlete Award, Best March-past Family, Runner Up Family and Winner Family. Principal, Moushumi Das declared the 27th Annual Sports Day closed.
GRADUATION CEREMONY OF XII : 01.02.2025
S.D.S.M. School for Excellence organized the GRADUATION CEREMONY OF XII standard for the batch 2024-25 on Saturday, 1 February 2025. The campus of the school echoed with blessings on this occasion, when the SDSM Family came together. It was an evening of mixed sentiments to witness the official sends off for the students in the Valedictory Ceremony.
The programme began with lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Mrs. Moushumi Das, School Manager, Dr Nirmala Shukla and Guests Professor & Head of PG Dept. of Education, Jamshedpur Women’s University, Mr Sanjay Bhuiyam, Social Worker, Mrs. Kamla Venkat graced the occasion and felicitated the students. Shubham Dutta, SPL gave the valedictory speech. Graduating students expressed their emotions. 198 students were honoured with the mementos and certificates. 5 Special awards were conferred to the students those who have shown their meritorious academic performance as well as active participation in their activities. Principal’s Awards were given to Shubham Dutta and Riddhi Kumari of Class XII for their outstanding performance and exemplary behaviour.
Principal, Mrs. Moushumi Das addressed the students of being ‘GREAT’ where G stands for gratitude, R for respect, E for empathy, A for attitude and T for true teacher. She highlighted attitude of gratitude and emphasizing on being passionate in any work we do. The guests motivated the students by stressing that everyone is a leader and to love and respect the work. They wished the graduating students to work hard, be human centric, social and responsible citizens and wished them success for their future endeavor. The programme ended with lighting of the candles by the graduating students followed by the school song.

S.D.S.M. School For Excellence organised Career Guidance & Fair 2024 on 20th December 2024 for the students of standard IX to XII in the school campus.
Madam Principal Mrs. Moushumi Das inaugurated and lit the ceremonial lamp. There were about 35 Institutes in the campus to guide and counsel the students for a better future. Madam Principal welcomed all the representatives and thanked them and asked the students to a enlighten their knowledge and curiosity.

National Mathematics Day 2024 (23.12.2024)
Today, on 23rd December 2024, Monday S.D.S.M. School for Excellence celebrated the 138th birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan Iyengar. The Mathematics Department organized various activities to mark the occasion. The program commenced with the Principal Mrs. Moushumi Das, Vice Principal and subject coordinators paying floral tributes to the statue of Srinivasa Ramanujan. They also lit the ceremonial lamp and symbolized growth and progress by watering the plants. During the morning assembly, students showcased the different aspects of mathematics through a dance performance. The importance of mathematics was highlighted through speeches, quizzes, poetry recitation, and skits. The event was graced by the presence of all the teachers and students.

CBSE ZONAL (EAST ZONE ) ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIP 2024-25
23rd to 25th September, 2024
The CBSE Zonal Archery Championship (East Zone) concluded with great success on 25th September 2024 at SDSM School for Excellence, Jamshedpur. The prestigious event gave a platform to 50 schools, with talented archers competing across three categories – Under 14, Under 17, and Under 19, in three types of archery: Indian, Recurve, and Compound. There were 305 participants
The Principal of SDSM School for Excellence, presented a comprehensive report on the event, expressing pride in hosting such a large-scale championship She motivated the students to keep participating and keep growing not only in sports but in every aspect of life and wished them for a brighter future ahead. In a remarkable display of skill, discipline, and sportsmanship, archers from both boys and girls divisions vied for top honors. The event culminated with the medal distribution ceremony where the winners were awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals for their achievements. Ms. Poonam Roy (Observer) & Mr. B. S Rao (International Coach) and Mr. Diwakar Singh (Chairman) of S.D.S.M acknowledged the winners with the medals.
Mr. Diwakar Singh (Chairman) of S.D.S.M School for Excellence gave the medals to the winners of compound archery & gave a special award to the best archers of the championship. The event concluded with the ceremonial lowering of the CBSE Sports Flag, followed by the National Anthem, marking the end of a truly memorable championship.

SRI SRI VISHWAKARMA PUJA 2024
S.D.S.M. School for Excellence celebrated Balvatika Day in the school premises on Friday 29th November, 2024. The theme of the programme was ‘Change’ from ancient to modern times.Over 908 students participated from Nursery to Std.II (Foundational Block) with great zeal and enthusiasm. The programme began with a prayer song. The tiny tots stole the hearts of the audience by their scintillating performances.

Skill-O-Vation 2024 a talent hunt contest for the mothers of Pre Primary (Nursery to UKG) students was organized in the premises of S.D.S.M. SCHOOL FOR EXCELLENCE on 14th September 2024. A large numbers of enthusiastic mothers participated and showcased their talent and creativity in events like Mehendi, Best out of Waste, Puppet Making, Cooking without fire and Mother Child Duo Singing. The events were judged by a panel of esteemed judges from various areas of Jamshedpur.
SKILL - O - VATION
The event started with lamp lighting by the Principal, Mrs. Moushumi Das and the leadership team. Winners and the Runners up were declared for each event. Participatory certificates were given to all participating mothers. The whole Programme was successfully conducted with great enthusiasm.
Principal, Mrs. Moushumi Das addressed the gathering by acknowledging the efforts of the mothers and teachers that paved the way for the children to move ahead with same confidence and morale. She motivated the mothers by quoting “ Talent cannot be measured but can be felt.” Art should not be a display of skill but a positive display of participation. Such events should be a positive spirit of participation rather than competition and we should be expert in our work and be happy every moment.
Celebration of Swachhata Pakhwada 2024
ACTIVITIES
As a part of the Swachhata Pakhwada celebration from 01.09.2024 to 15.09.2024, the Swachhata Pledge was administered by Madam Principal, Mrs. Moushumi Das followed by 1950 students and 92 teachers to promote the virtue of personal as well as social hygiene among the students.
The students have been told about the importance of cleanliness and encouraged to keep their surroundings litter-free. They were also stimulated to spread awareness about the same in their community.
Celebration of Swachhata Pakhwada, the initiative of Government of India from 01.09.2024 - 15.09.2024. We are ready to participate in this annual event to promote cleanliness and sanitation across various sectors of society.

SHIKSHA SAPTAH CELEBRATION
S.D.S.M. SCHOOL FOR EXCELLENCE celebrated SHIKSHA SAPTAH under the Ministry of Education from 22nd July to 28th July 2024 commemorating the 4th Anniversary of NEP 2020. Cultural programs were organised to promote India’s Cultural Diversity.
On the first day, 22nd July 2024, TLM DAY was celebrated. Different activities were conducted for different levels- for the foundational level – Story Telling, Exhibition, Thumb Painting and Folklore were organised. In the preparatory level, workshops were organised for chart marking, colour boxes, mask and card making. For middle and secondary level, workshop on Toy and Puppets were organised along with the Poster, slogans and wall charts for secondary level.
FLN DAY was celebrated on the second day 23rd July,2024. NIPUN Pledge was taken by all the students and teachers. Parents were invited for the screening of FLN Film to understand the objectives and generate awareness among the mass and its importance.
On the third day 24th July,2024, Sports Day was organised in which PET teacher explained about the indigenous games and its importance. Competition of outdoor games were conducted.
The fourth day, 25th July,2024 was Cultural Day that focused on the promotion and celebration of India’s cultural diversity. Folk dance and folk songs of India were presented by the students, teachers and parents.
Skilling Day was celebrated on 26th July,2024 in which the children were taken out for field activity to Park and Dairy farms. Coding challenge, first aid and bag making workshops were organised too.
The sixth and seventh day, 27th July,2024 were Eco-Club and Community Involvement Day in which students and mothers participated in the plantation drive. Display of Placards was done through Rally and Vidyanjali logo making and awareness program was conducted.
The SHIKSHA SAPTAH finally concluded with the Plantation Drive by Eco Club students and teachers.
78TH INDEPENDENCE DAY
On August 15, 2024, S.D.S.M. SCHOOL FOR EXCELLENCE celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day, where students, faculty, and staff members paid tribute to the nation and freedom fighters of India. It is a remarkable day when we honor and respect all our freedom fighters who fought for India’s freedom.
The celebration started with the flag hoisting by our respected Madam Principal Mrs. Moushumi Das followed by the National Anthem.
She addressed the gathering by reiterating the way our brave freedom fighters sacrificed their lives, happiness and families – just so we could enjoy the taste of liberty.
Later, students presented patriotic song, dance & speech.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks, and sweets were distributed to all the students and staff members.
